Chaerilus cimrmani is a species of Thai bush scorpion that is found in tropical regions of Thailand.

 

Description and Habitat

  • Size: It is a small species of scorpion, with adults reaching a total length of up to 5 cm.
  • Appearance: It has a generally brown to blackish coloration.
  • Habitat: This species is native to humid tropical rainforest environments in Thailand and lives in soil and mulch, or under logs and rocks. They are a burrowing species and require high humidity in their environment.
  • Behavior: They are considered beginner-friendly in captivity due to their relatively calm nature and low toxicity venom. They may display a threat pose or play dead when disturbed, but rarely sting.
