These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Lady of Bugs website and the purchase of products from us. By placing an order, you agree to the terms set out below.

Lady of Bugs is a UK-based business specialising in the ethical sale of live invertebrates, invertebrate supplies, and related merchandise.

2. Eligibility to Purchase

You must be 18 years or older to purchase live invertebrates.
By ordering live animals, you confirm that you are legally permitted to keep the species in your area and have appropriate knowledge and housing to care for them.

Lady of Bugs reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders where welfare or legal concerns arise.

3. Product Information

All live invertebrates are described as accurately as possible, including life stage and care requirements.
Images are representative and may not show the exact individual supplied.
Sizes, colours, and markings may vary naturally.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in GBP (£).
Shipping costs are shown separately where applicable.
Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering.
We reserve the right to amend prices at any time.

5. Shipping & Dispatch

Shipping is subject to our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

Key points:

Live invertebrates are dispatched Monday–Wednesday only.
UK shipping only for live animals.
Dispatch may be delayed due to weather, welfare concerns, or postal disruption.

6. Live Arrival & Welfare

We pack all live invertebrates carefully with welfare as the top priority.
If an animal arrives deceased, you must notify us within 2 hours of delivery with clear photographs.
Claims made outside this timeframe may not be accepted.
Refunds or replacements are offered at our discretion.

We cannot be held responsible for issues caused by:

Missed or delayed deliveries
Incorrect addresses
Poor husbandry after arrival

7. Cancellations & Refunds

Live Invertebrates

Orders for live animals cannot be cancelled once dispatched.
Refunds are not available for live animals except under agreed DOA circumstances.

Non-Live Items

Non-live items may be returned within 14 days of receipt, provided they are unused and in original condition.
Return postage costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item is faulty.

8. Responsibility of the Buyer

By purchasing live invertebrates, you accept full responsibility for:

Correct care and housing
Understanding species-specific requirements
Compliance with UK laws and regulations

Lady of Bugs is not responsible for losses caused by improper care, unsuitable environments, or lack of experience.

9. Availability & Substitutions

Stock availability is subject to change.
If an item becomes unavailable after purchase, we will contact you to arrange a refund or alternative where appropriate.
