Psalmopoeus victori (commonly misspelled as P. victorii) is a striking arboreal tarantula native to the moist tropical forests of Veracruz, Mexico. It is widely known in the hobby as the Darth Maul Tarantula or the Mexican Half-and-Half due to its unique bi-colour appearance: a velvet black front half (carapace and front legs) and a vibrant orange-red rear half (abdomen and back legs).
